ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:
Our Fathers House was founded in 2003 by Richard Martin of Saco and Biddeford, Maine and was eventually incorporated
in 2009 as well as obtained its 501c3 from IRS. What originally started out as an Addiction Recovery Group has now developed
into a recovery houses for alcoholics and drug addicts to be free of their addictions. Both areas are the main missions of
Our Father’s House. Our Fathers House operates 2 transition homes in the city that also complements his efforts at helping
the homeless recovering drug and alcohol addicts. Richard has worked 7 days a week putting in full time hours to do, as well
as, supervise all of this work. He has developed the best outreaches in the City of Biddeford and Saco areas. Changes in the
future would be to serve other communities with the model he has developed. Plans within the next 5 years will be to open
2 other facilities in neighboring counties.
CURRENT PROGRAMS: Our programs have constant growth in each area by each year. Offering two Transitional Homes we call
‘Our Father’s House’ Recovery Homes for alcoholics and drug addicts to be free of their addictions. We also
offer assistance with Outpatient Counseling, Aftercare, Pastoral Counseling both group and one-on-one, Mentor Program, Vocational
Training, Personal Health and Wellness, Domestic Living Skills training, cooking skill classes, workforce development, weekly
and daily 12 step meetings, Community Service, Family Therapy, Life Management classes.
